Presenter: Dr. Diana Albarran Gonzalez To change systems, we need awareness of the power relations in organisational structures and the roles we play inside them, often influenced by our different identities and positions. This awareness could be challenging to achieve, experience, and share, but it is a fundamental step towards strategic and effective transformation. This hands-on workshop uses crafts-design methods as an innovative approach that supports participants to be self-aware from an intersectional perspective, reflect on our positions, power and agency, and collectively create alternatives to take action towards diverse and inclusive organisations. Participants will: * Experience the benefits of craft-making for concept visualisation and emotional regulation as acts of care. * Understand the importance of awareness of power relations in organisational structures and within our roles. * Acquire (self)awareness of identities and positions through DEI dimensions and intersections for better interactions inside diverse organisations. * Use care and empathy as the main drivers of self-reflection and allyship in action. * Collectively create alternatives and action plans for inclusive workplaces. * Gain the confidence to apply learned concepts and principles to promote inclusive and equitable workplaces.
