Medicines Advertising Compliance Disclaimer
Sponsors and exhibitors are advised that amendments to the Medicines Act 1981 and associated regulations impose strict controls on the advertising of prescription and restricted medicines in New Zealand.
Exhibitors must ensure that all promotional activity, materials, signage, digital displays and representative conduct at the Conference comply with the Medicines Act and any other applicable legislation, codes of practice and industry standards.
Any intention to promote or reference medicines that are not approved for distribution in New Zealand, or that are subject to restrictions, must be disclosed in writing to the Conference Organiser no later than 6 weeks prior to the event. The Organiser reserves the right to review and require modification or removal of any material deemed non-compliant.
The Sponsor/Exhibitor accepts full responsibility for ensuring its compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and indemnifies the Organiser against any breach arising from its promotional activities.
