General Information

If you have any questions about the postponement of SLANZA 2020 and any general queries, please refer to the below.

Registration

Those people who have registered and paid for the conference, can amend their registration to any of the following options:

  • roll over your registration and payment to 2021, or
  • assign your registration to another person, or
  • request a full refund less an administration fee of $150

We are hopeful that you will be happy to roll over your registration to 2021.

If you have registered for Conference but not yet paid, you have the option to pay now (if you have approval for this PD expenditure out of your 2020 budget), or to pay early next year out of your 2021 budget.

Earlybird registration has been extended and will remain open until Friday 30 April 2021, meaning you have potentially two years of budget available to secure your spot. If you haven’t yet registered you can do this now. We will hold the current prices for 2021.

Should you need to cancel your registration, please notify Raewyn Tse in writing. Please note refunds will take a few weeks to be processed. 

If, for reasons beyond the control of the organisers, SLANZA 2020 is cancelled, then the registration fee will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred.

Accommodation

Conference Innovators will be in touch with anyone who booked accommodation through the registration process. You will have the option to keep the accommodation for this year, in case you still wish to utilise that booking for a mini-break in the Capital.

If you have booked accommodation outside of the registration process, you will need to contact the provider directly to discuss options.

Accommodation cancellations within 45 days of SLANZA 2020 are subject to a cancellation fee based on individual hotel policies.

Conditions

The School Library Association of New Zealand Aotearoa and Conference Innovators reserve the right to deny entry and/or terminate the registration of any person who demonstrates behaviour that is deemed to be inappropriate and/or a risk to others.

Registrations received by Conference Innovators will not be considered as confirmed unless payment has been received and processed. Non-payment or non-attendance will be taken as a cancellation on the day of SLANZA 2020 and will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Disclaimer

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to take out personal insurance, including cover for travel, accommodation and personal possessions. Neither the School Library Association of New Zealand Aotearoa nor Conference Innovators cover individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of SLANZA 2020 or for theft or damage to belongings.

Liability

The School Library Association of New Zealand Aotearoa and Conference Innovators will not accept any responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by delegates in the course of SLANZA 2020. Nor will the School Library Association of New Zealand Aotearoa and Conference Innovators take responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during SLANZA 2020 or associated activities.
