Samuel Marsden Collegiate School

Four kilometres from Wellington's city centre, nestled within the hills and bushland of Karori, is Samuel Marsden Collegiate School. With multiple spaces it is the perfect venue for the SLANZA 2020 Conference. Over the course of the conference, the venue will be exclusively used for the conference, allowing delegates to fully enjoy this beautiful space.

How to get there 

Bus - take Bus 2 from Lambton Quay to Karori, hop off at stop 5324 at Karori Road/Lancaster Street. Walk 7 minutes from the bus stop to the school reception. The bus journey is approximately 11 minutes long and will cost you $5.00 cash, pay this to the driver. Change can be given. More information can be found here.

Driving - there are several entrances to the school, the main entrance is located in Marsden Avenue off Lancaster Street.There is a second entrance for pedestrians only off Karori Road, just past the Marsden shops.                                                                          

Uber/Taxi - this will cost you approximately $20 - $25 from central Wellington. 

      

                                                                

Parking

There is free ample parking available on site. Please access the school via the main entrance off Marsden Avenue.

Wifi

There will be free wifi available on site, more information will be available at the registration desk. 

Non smoking

Marsden is a smoke-free environment and smoking is not permitted within the School grounds (including outside).

Registration

Registration will be set up in the main foyer, please sign in when you arrive to receive your name badge.

What is in the area

Home to 15,000 Wellingtonians, Karori is one of New Zealand's largest suburbs. For those with a passion for the outdoors, Karori is littered with mountain bike tracks, and hiking and walking trails, and the reward is spectacular views of the city and surrounds.
