The New Zealand Association of Counsellors invite you to contribute to the biennial School Counsellors’ Conference, being held at Harbourside Function Centre, Wellington from the 18th to the 20th of November 2020.

The NZAC School Counsellors’ Conference brings together school counsellors from all over New Zealand to discuss issues relevant to their work and listen to world-class speakers on issues affecting our young people throughout Aotearoa today. The role of the School Counsellor in schools is demanding and and in the rapidly changing world our young people inhabit, it is pivotal in providing guidance and a place of support. 

Conferences are important for keeping School Counsellors across New Zealand up- to-date and informed about the most effective methods of supporting the young people they work with. The majority of the School Counsellors in attendance work primarily with youth in school systems, and also collaborate with government, voluntary, and independent organisations and practitioners in order to provide the best care for their clients.We are anticipating approximately 300 School Counsellors to join us over the two-and-a-half-day conference.
